The sanctuary was refinished using memorial funds from Former Trustee Chairman George Cummings and our favorite “ticket-taker” Nora Conklin.
The altar chairs were refurbished in memory of Matthew R. Waldron.
Narthex
In addition to fresh paint and stair refurbishment, we displayed some of our historical documents, artifacts, pictures and memorial donations. The Narthex will be an ever-growing tribute to the history of FUMC.
The remainder of the building interior was refreshed using memorial funds in memory of: Dot & Jeanne Baisley, Ella Bender, Shirley Brooks, Nora Conklin, Helen Van Ness Gray, Ruth Herrington, Clyde Lawrence, Elizabeth (Betty) McElroy, Jean O’Dell, Jessie O’Dell, Richard O’Dell, Shirley O’Dell, Barbara Skinner, Jeff Thomas, Matthew Waldron and Eva Young.
Lecture Room
In addition to fresh paint in a new color scheme, we professional cleaned and waxed flooring, installed new ceiling tiles and LED lighting. We also hung classic artwork donated to FUMC over the years.

Bathrooms
We removed dated wallpaper, put up a fresh coat of paint, installed new lighting and fixtures, and hung new artwork. "Wash your hands and say your prayers because Jesus and germs are everywhere."

Memorial Hall received a complete facelift with a new modern design and paint job, a brand-new floor and new contemporary artwork.
